Mrs. Mary Grapel Scott, "Aunt Grapel" and "Mammaw", 71, of Dyersburg, TN died Saturday, February 05, 2011 at her residence. She was a homemaker. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 09, 2011 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Mac Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, February 08, 2011, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include two daughters, Susie (the late Mark) Tirey and Charlotte Sweat both of Dyersburg; four sons, David (Debbie) Scott, Jimmy (Lisa) Scott, Randy Scott, all of Dyersburg, and Jeff (Glenda) Scott of Newbern; two sisters, Josie Dean and Carrie Wilson both of Dyersburg; one brother, Thomas "Bubba" Jernigan of Dyersburg; 17 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ewell Scott; her parents William and Carrie Hill Jernigan; three sisters, Geraldine Jernigan, Estell Binkley, and Ernestine Gipson; seven brothers, John David Jernigan, Billy Jernigan, Lankford Jernigan, Junior Jernigan, Miller Jernigan, Odell Jernigan and Eddie Jernigan; and one Grandson, Kyle Scott.
