Mike Reaves

Mr. Mike Reaves, 52, of Dyersburg, TN died July 25, 2011 at his residence. He was a musician and a member of the Sorrell's Chapel Methodist Church. As a member of the band "Full Devil Jacket" they toured worldwide and received a gold record for the soundtrack for the movie SCREAM 3. He was signed to a record deal with the Island/Def Jam label in 1998 and released a self-titled album on Island records in 2000. He continued to pursue his love of music until his death. Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2011 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Frank Gardner. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Andrew Camera, Kevin Bebout, Keith Bebout, Keith Foster, Jonathan Montoya, Josh Brown, Robert Reaves, Larry Davis and Randy Hobbs. The Reaves family will receive visitors from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday evening, August 1st at the funeral home. Survivors include his parents Bud and Pat Reaves of Dyersburg, his maternal grandmother, Frances Wiseman of Ripley, his brother Steve Reaves and wife Laurie of Dyersburg, his aunt and uncle Ronnie Wiseman and Dorothy Summers of Ripley, a special friend Carol Edwards of Jackson and several nieces and nephews.
