Mr. Raymond Criswell, 93, of Dyersburg, TN died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at The Bridge in Ridgely. He was a member of Dyersburg First Baptist Church and was a barber in Dyersburg for over 60 years. He was a World War II Veteran and received the American Theater Ribbon, EAME Theater Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal WWII.. A Memorial Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Boston officiating. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Lurah Criswell of Dyersburg; a son, James Criswell and wife Patricia of Dyersburg; a sister, Charlotte Moore of Newbern, Tn; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ortho and Linnie Asbridge Criswell; two sisters, Helen Rice and Margarite Curtis; and a brother William Criswell..
