Carl J. Morgan

Mr. Carl J. Morgan, 70, of Tiptonville, TN died Sunday, September 25, 2011 at his residence in Tiptonville. He was a member of Willingham Memorial Baptist Church in Madie. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Willingham Memorial Baptist Church with Bro. Eddie Powell officiating. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors on Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the church. Survivors include three daughters, Teresa Dean of Tiptonville, Frances Bell of Obion, and Martha Jones of Hornbeak; one step-daughter, Annie Wallace of Newbern; one son, Carl Raymond Morgan of Obion; one step-son, Christopher Wallace of Dyersburg; four sisters, Betty Ables and Sue Pruett both of Dyersburg, Rosie England of Ridgely, and Allene Plotner of Morris, Ill; 13 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Acie and Mattie Burns Morgan and a brother, Earl Willie Morgan, and his step-mother, Allie Bee Morgan.
