Ruby Lay

Mrs. Ruby Lay, 90, of Ridgely died Friday, November 18, 2011 at The Med in Memphis TN. She was a homemaker and a member of Broadmoor Church of Christ. Funeral services will be at 1pm Tuesday, November 22, 2011 in the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Roy Sharp and Brother Terry Clark. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Blake Sharp, Hunter Stover, Jim Nichols, Scott Nichols, Leonard York and Jeff Odell. Honorary pallbearers will be Cleo Lay, Purvis Lay, Bobby Garrison Macie Roberson and Harvey Henderson. The Lay family will receive visitors Monday, November 21st from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Survivors include 2 daughters, Helen Sharp and husband Leslie of Memphis and Carol Stover of Obion, 1 sister, Janie Parker of Huntsville, TX, a daughter-in-law Vicki Lay of Ridgely, 5 grandchildren, Steve Sharp, Connie Austin, Byron Stover, Shane Stover, Wendy Lay, 7 great-grandchildren, Blake Sharp, Grant Bancroft, Brittany Bancroft, Hunter Stover, Brandon Stover, Morgan Stover and Madison Stover. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, K.P. Lay, a son William Bryant Lay, her parents Charlie and Nola Huey Garrison, 2 sisters, Dot Viar and Mogie Garrison, 3 brothers, Loftin Garrison, Jim Garrison and Ross Garrison, her son-in-law Barton Stover and her grandson Gregory Scott Stover.
