Mr. Clovis “Toby” Pitts, 81, of Tiptonville, TN died Friday, December 2, 2011 at Reelfoot Manor Nursing Facility in Tiptonville. He was a member of Jones Chapel Church of Christ.
Services will be Monday, December 5, 2011, at 1 p.m. at the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Wilford Mobley and Lonnie Grady officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery in Hornbeak. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife Mary Lou Pitts of Tiptonville; one daughter, Mary Lynn Kirby of Woodland Mills, TN.; two sons, David Pitts of Tiptonville and Ricky (Anita) Pitts of Ridgely; three sisters, Nell (Charles) Wallace of Tiptonville, Irene (Alfred) Howell of Union City, and Bonnie Hayden of Paducah, KY.; one brother Charles (Jean) Pitts of Tiptonville; three grandchildren, T. J. (Elana) Kirby, Alicia Kirby, and Jacque (Billy) Cheatham; and three great-grandchildren, Anna Lynn Cheatham, Gunnar Cheatham and Shaun Austin Bailey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis “Joe” and Nellie Scott Pitts; one sister, Marie Runion and one brother, Richard Pitts.
Pallbearers will be T. J. Kirby, Billy Cheatham, Jackie McKenzie, Jeff Hayden, Tim McKenzie, and Tony Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men’s Sunday School Class of Jones Chapel
Church of Christ.
