Hazel Moore Waller

Mrs. Hazel Moore Waller, 89, died Monday, December 5, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Waller was a member of Hawthorne Baptist Church. She was a pediatric nurse and assistant to Dr. J.D. Connell when he began his practice in Dyersburg. Funeral services will be at 12 noon Thursday, December 8, 2011 Graveside at Dyer County Memorial Gardens conducted by Chaplin Garrett Sweeney. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Lynn Waller, Michael Waller, John David Exner, Shane Nunnery, Stephen Little and Richard Morales. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. J.D. Connell, Dr. David Guthrie and Tommy Simmons. The Waller family will receive visitors Thursday, December 8th beginning at 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home. Survivors include 2 daughters, Vicky Waller of Dyersburg, Ginny Morales and husband Richard of Baton Rouge, LA, 2 sons, Larry C. Waller and wife Diane and Sidney L. Waller, both of Dyersburg, 1 sister Jo Ella Luna of Rutherford, 1 sister-in-law, Jerlene Moore of Dyersburg, 5 grandchildren, Fayne Waller, Lynn Waller, Michael Waller, John David Exner, Michelle Nunnery and 7 great-grandchildren, Clint Waller, Michael Dylan Page, Bradley Waller, Ashlyn Phillips, Morgan Alonzo, Shane Nunnery and Amber Nunnery. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years W. C. Waller, 2 brothers, Willie C. Moore and Billie T. Moore and her parents L.C. and Azer Moore. The family would like to extend special thanks to Volunteer Home Health, Caris Hospice, Vicki Grisby and Samantha McNeely for their loving and caring attention.
