W.T. Cutchin, Jr.

Mr. W.T. Cutchin, Jr., 93, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, January 8, 2012 at The Med in Memphis. He was Owner and President of W.T. Cutchin & Associates, a member of the First United Methodist Church, a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and the University swim team. He was an Army Air Corp flight instructor during World War II. He was also a member of the West Tennessee Seniors Golf Association and an avid fisherman and loyal UT fan. Funeral services for Mr. Cutchin will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. David Russell officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Pallbearers will be Jerry Brewer, Fred Moore, III, Jere Ozment, George Stephenson, III, Tom Stephenson, and Tommy Stephenson. The Cutchin family will receive visitors Tuesday, January 10th from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He is survived by his sister, Laura Jean Cutchin Mullen and husband Bob, of Ashland, OR, 4 grandchildren, Betsy Hoff Shelton and husband Joe, of Raleigh, NC, Thomas Morgan Cook of Memphis, Roy Cook, III of Halls, Michelle Cook of Hernando, MS and 1 great granddaughter, Lauren Vandermolen of Raleigh, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Carolyn Bond Cutchin, his daughter Betty Cutchin Cook and his sister Corinne Cutchin Stephenson.
