Mrs. Nelle Blythe "Mimi" Hoppers Scates, 98, of Jackson, TN died Friday, March 16, 2012 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Scates will be at 2:00 pm Monday, March 19, 2012 at the Ridgely First United Methodist Church Chapel conducted by Reverend Dean Emerson and Reverend Craig Myrick. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Will Keiser, Peter Keiser, Joe Riley, Skipper Homra, John Riley, Scott Riley, Robert Coats and John Fields. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Dunlap, Don Taylor, Brad Keiser, Carey Homra, Bob Shull and David Riley. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Feltus and husband Charles of Ridgely, 2 granddaughters, Ashley Blythe Chappell Cadreche and husband Alex of Nashville and Courtney Chappell Boxx of Ridgely and 2 great-grandchildren, Jacob Boxx and Mary Blythe Boxx of Ridgely. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Effie Sumner Hoppers. Family requests memorial be directed to the charity of donor's choice.
