Charles Wayne Lanier

Mr. Charlie Lanier, 62, of Ridgely, TN died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was a farmer. Funeral services for Mr. Lanier will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 7, 2012 in the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Loren Stephens. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The Lanier family will receive visitors 5:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, April 6th and 10:00 am - 3pm Saturday, April 7th at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jerry Cole, Tabitha Cole, Micah Lanier, Jesse Lanier, Dillion Kolwyck, Wayne Irvin and David Smith. He is survived by his wife Jeanette Lanier of Ridgely; 1 daughter, Michelle Lanier Varanelli & husband Tony of Dyersburg; 1 son, Mike Lanier and wife Penny of Ridgely; 2 sisters, Betty Joe Thurman of Chicago and Berdie Ann Blackwood & husband Joe of Alabama; 4 brothers, Jimmy McQuiston & wife Barbara of Benton Harbor, Michigan, and Billy Mac McQuiston & wife Fay, Donny Lanier & wife Donna and Moreal Lanier all of Alabama; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents William & Berdie Blackwood Lanier; 3 brothers, O. T. Lanier, Hoppy Lanier and Edward McQuiston and 1 sister, Roda Blackwood.
