On August 7, 2009, Brother Dan Leggett went to be with his Lord and Savior. He was an ordained minister with The Assemblies of God since 1979. He pastored churches in Tennessee, Mississippi, Kansas and Missouri. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, August 10th in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Reverend Randy Lainheart and Reverend Jerry Leggett officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 pm Sunday, August 9th at Calvary Assembly of God in Kennett MO and beginning at 8 am Monday, August 10th at Curry Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Daniel Beaver, Floyd Wallace, Harold Mikel, Toney Hill, Jason Wilson and Greg Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Shelby Williams and Randy Williams. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Eva Davison Leggett, 1 daughter, Melonie Rae Leggett Williams and husband Randy of Memphis, TN; 1 Brother, Jerry Leggett and wife Brenda, of Union City, TN; 3 granddaughters, Shelby, Hannah Lynn (Bunny), and Gabbriella Hope Williams, all of Memphis. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Jackie Joe Leggett and his parents, Thomas Woodrow and Mattie Lue Warren Leggett.
