Mr. Ray Cutcher, 81, of Dyersburg died Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He was a retired Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps serving in the Korean War and Vietnam War. He was also retired security for Murray Guard, Dyersburg Regional Medical Center, Heckethorn Manufacturing and Tyson Foods. Mr. Cutcher was a member of Finley Baptist Church. Funeral services for Mr. Cutcher will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Charlie Halliburton and Reverend Calvin Smith. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors Friday, August 17th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be the US Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Jean Farley Cutcher, 2 sons, Butch Cutcher and wife Martha of Munford and Ray L. Cutcher, Jr. of Pikeville, 2 sisters, Evelyn May Mattoni and Josephine Cutcher of Toledo, OH and 1 brother Alfred Cutcher of Toledo, OH, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
