Harry Hampton

Mr. Harry Hampton, 74, of Dyersburg, died Friday, August 17, 2012 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center in Dyersburg. Mr. Hampton was a member of Journey Church and retired co-owner of Carpet Connection. Services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, 2012 in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Turner and Bro. Owen Lilly officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors Saturday, August 18, 2012 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include his daughter, Lori Anne Layne of Covington, Tn.; two sons, Rickey Hampton of Nashville, Tn. and Jeff Hampton of Dyersburg; one sister Mary Alice Arwood of Ripley; 4 grandchildren and 1great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Mamie Kent Hampton; one sister, Edna Reynolds; two brothers, James Hampton and Harvey D. Hampton; and special long time friend, Glenda Patterson. Pallbearers will be David Dedlock, Dewight Hutcherson, Ronnie Layne, Paul Lee, Glenn Mitchell, Chuck Morgan, Robert Hodge, andSteven Simpson.
