Lavinia Blalock Overby

Mrs. Lavenia Blalock Overby, 88, of Dyersburg, TN died Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Regional Hospital of Jackson. She was a homemaker. Visitation for Mrs. Lavenia Blalock Overby will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the funeral home. A private family service will be held later in Illinois. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include a daughter, Darlene Adams of South Elgin, Illinois; one sister, Wilma Cannon of Dyersburg; three brothers, Ernest Blalock and Lloyd Blalock Jr. both of Dyersburg, and James Blalock of Oklahoma; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mervin Overby; a daughter, Vicki Harris; her parents, Lloyd and Minnie Jackson Blalock; and two brothers, R. L. Blalock and Roy Blalock.
