Mary Lee Watson

Mrs. Mary Lee Watson, 89, of Nashville formerly of Dyersburg died Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Healthcare Center at West Meade Place in Nashville, TN. She worked for a number of years at Dyersburg Fabrics, was co-owner of American Glass was an active member of Bellevue United Methodist Church and while she lived in Dyersburg was an active member of First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, December 10, 2012 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Dr. David Russell. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Bubba Hendren, Eddie Anderson, Fred Bell, Mike Moore, David Buchannon and Shelton Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Outpost Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church and Fellowship Sunday School Class at Bellevue United Methodist Church in Nashville. The Watson family will receive visitors 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Sunday, December 9, 2012 and Monday beginning at 11:30 at the funeral home. Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Lord and husband Mike of Nashville; a son, Stan Watson of Dyersburg; five grandchildren, Michael Lord (Melissa), Tom Lord (Stephanie), Miles Holland, Bronson Watson and Bob Tweedy (Beth); and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Gene Watson; a daughter, Freddie Tweedy; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Watson; two sisters, Bessie Arnold and Emma Jones; two brothers, W. I. Sherbit and J. G. Sherbit and her parents, W. I. and Hessie Ann Davison Sherbit. The family would like to thank the staff of Healthcare Center at West Meade Place and Guardian Hospice in Nashville.
