Betty Jean Pilkington

Betty Jean Pilkington, 72, of Dyersburg died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Delta Medical Center in Memphis. She was a member of Fowlkes Baptist Church. Funeral services for Mrs. Pilkington will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral conducted by Reverend Danny Cates. Interment will follow in Covington Memorial Gardens at 2:45 p.m.. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Matthew Johnson, Billy Johnson, Terry Erwin, David Womack, Bobby Womack and Eric Roberts. The Pilkington family will receive visitors Friday, January 11th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. She is survived by 2 daughters, Gloria Jean Ator and husband Carl of Halls, Sheila L. Holland and husband Roger of Newbern, 1 son George Aaron Pilkington and wife Conswella of Halls, 2 sisters Joyce Poole of Guilt Edge, Carolyn Erwin of Drummonds, 7 grandchildren Davy Lee, Erica Simmons, Jeanie Brimm, Lori Roberts, Michael Pilkington, Spenser Pilkington, Kristen Kelley and 3 great-grandchildren Addison Lee, Clayton Brimm and Abbie Simmons. She was preceded in death by her husband George E. Pilkington, 1 daughter Glenda A. Pilkington, 1 granddaughter Chasity Dawn Lee, 2 great-grandchildren Andrew Simmons, Natalie Simmons, 1 sister, Ruth Smithson, 2 brothers, Lloyd Womack , Charlie Womack and her parents Lloyd and Mamie Johnson Womack.
