Flora Davis

Flora Childress Davis, 93, of Dyersburg died Sunday January 27, 2013 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Facility. Mrs. Davis was born in Dyersburg on June 6, 1919. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and a former member of Eastern Star. Visitation for Mrs. Davis will be Monday, January 28, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and 11 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at Curry Funeral Home. Services for Mrs. Davis will be on Tuesday at 1 p.m. graveside conducted by Bro. Lynn King at Fairview Cemetery with interment to follow. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include three daughters, Jean Kelley of Newton, N.C., Joyce Ann Davis and Pam Green both of Dyersburg; four grandchildren, Jeff Kelley of Newton, N.C., Dana McIntire of Huntersville, N.C., Adam Green and Molly Green both of Dyersburg; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Lloyd and Dessie Adams Childress and three brothers, Elvie Childress, Lester Childress, and Grover Childress. Pallbearers will be Vandel Spoon, Shelton Jones, Adam Green, Toby Horner, Roy Childress, and Bill Pike.
