Bertha Shipman, 93, of Tiptonville died Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at The Bridge at Ridgely. She was a homemaker and attended Phillipy Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday, February 15, 2013 Graveside at Lake Memorial Gardens in Tiptonville officiated by Brother Tom Brann. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She is survived by 3 children, Candy Curlin and husband Bill of Tiptonville, Steve Cravens and wife Judy of Tiptonville, Darlene Bell of Princeton, KY, her brother-in-law Elmer Sanford of Tiptonville, 5 grandchildren Billie Jones, Shellie Paschall, Selena Wall, Stephanie Beal, Stevie Cravens and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Alton Bank Shipman, her parents John Edd and Florence Waldrop Nance, 3 sisters, Ruby Sanford, Hattie Tarver, Novie Bryant and 2 brothers Ralph Nance and Carl Nance.
