Nellie Glass Powers, 97, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Dyersburg Manor. She was a homemaker and member of Middle City Church of God. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2013 Graveside at Dyer County Memorial Gardens conducted by Brother William Norman. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The Powers family will receive visitors Monday, February 25, 2013 from 9:00 am - 10:30 am at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bob Brock, Clark Brock, Joel Goff, Randy Goff, Melvin Phillips, David Newsom and Mack Tucker. She is survived by 4 daughters, Evaleena Tucker of Dyersburg, Doris Faye Brock and husband Bob of Finley, Ann Phillips and husband Melvin of Newbern, Pearlie Wingate of Dyersburg, 1 son Wayne Powers of Dyersburg, grandchildren Mack Tucker of Halls, Jimmy Tucker of Lebanon, Il, Clark Brock and Donna Goff of Finley, Jo Ann Conner of Dyersburg, a grandson raised by Mrs. Powers, Scottie Moss of Dyersburg and Shawn Riley and great-grandchildren Joel Goff, Gracie Brock, Jennifer Brock, Taylar Phillips, Christopher Conner, Whitney Tucker, Meleki Wofford, Heven Riley and Little Jamie Riley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bryant Powers, her parents, Edd and Georgie Pearl Edders Glass, a grandson Jamie Riley, 2 brothers Otis and Eddie Glass and 3 sisters, Kitty Glass, Maggie Branch and Allie Little.
