Billy Max Cole, husband of Annette Cole of Dyersburg, died Thursday, March 7, at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Cole worked alongside his wife of 54 years at Brown Shoe Company in Lexington and Savannah, TN. He retired after 35 years of employment when they moved to Dyersburg in 1995. His most treasured days were spent with his grandsons. He also enjoyed fishing and building bluebird houses. He was a Mason of Lodge 102 in Savannah and also served in the National Guard. He was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Dyersburg conducted by Dr. David Russell. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 pm at Gibson County Memory Gardens in Humboldt. Pallbearers will be Cole Shelton, Sam Bradshaw, Jake Bradshaw, Brandon Cole, Robert Fly, Jerry "Bud" Cole, Jr., Jeff Holt and Paul Hart. Honorary pallbearers will be J.S. Boyd, David Hayes and James Hunt. The Cole family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am until service time Saturday in the Chapel of First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Annette Cole of Dyersburg, one daughter, Debbie Bradshaw-Hart and husband Paul of Dyersburg, one sister, Sara Jane Fly of Medina, one brother, Ronnie Cole and wife Jane of Dyersburg and three grandsons, Cole Shelton and wife Ellen, Sam Bradshaw and Jake Bradshaw. He was preceded in death by his parents Champ and Beadie Cole and 1 brother Jerry Cole, Sr. The family requests memorials be directed to the Music Fund at First United Methodist Church, PO Box 452, Dyersburg, TN 38025-0452.
