Margaret Owens Vance

Margaret Owens Vance passed away March 13, 2013 after a short illness in Arab, AL at the age of 87. Mrs. Vance, together with her husband, Russell Vance, were the owners and proprietors of Sanderfer Furniture Company on the North side of the Dyersburg Courthouse Square for many years. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Dyersburg. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Dyersburg conducted by Dr. David Russell. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Pallbearers will be Michael Eskridge, Matthew Eskridge, Michael Pettigrew, Owen Vance, Jr., Randy Degirolamo, and Darrell See. The Vance family will receive visitors in the Chapel of the First United Methodist Church beginning at 2:00 p.m. Sunday until service time. Mrs. Vance is survived by her daughter, Kathy Vance Eskridge and husband Richard of Joppa, AL; three grandchildren: Michael B. Eskridge and wife Nicole, Amy E. Pettigrew and husband Michael, and Matthew R. Eskridge residents of Huntsville AL. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell W. Vance and her parents, Levy Medling and Kathleen Evans Owens.
