Rachel O. Dial, 62, of Obion died Monday, September 2, 2013 at Union City Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was a homemaker and member of Dew Drop Independent Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013 in the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Robert Mann and Reverend Jimmy Goodman. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Danny Goodman, Jr., Keith Goodman, Anthony Hollandsworth, Lee Goodman, Stan Shelton, Skylar Shelton and Garrett Shelton. Honorary pallbearer will be David Dial. The Dial family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday, September 4th at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband James Dial, Sr. of Obion, one daughter Kathy Clay and husband Jerry of Dyersburg, one son James Dial, Jr. and wife Kim of Obion, six sisters Peggy Smith, Earlene Blair, Darlene Hollandsworth, all of Ridgely, Shirley Hall of Winchester, Dian Hall of Estill Springs, Yvonne Mealer of Dyersburg, two brothers Jimmy Goodman of Wynnburg, Danny Goodman of Ridgely, three grandchildren Shayna Burg, Kelsy Dial, Hope Clay and one great-grandson Blayze Burg.
