Betty Evelyn Bledsoe Piper

On August 12, 2013, our beloved mother and Grandmother Betty Evelyn Bledsoe Piper passed away peacefully at the age of 83. Betty is survived by her daughter Marilyn Elizabeth Piper-Seybold, son-in-law Hans Seybold, son James Scott Piper, daughter-in law Lorena Ramos Piper, her sisters Mary Rodgers, Judith Bailey and Jane Davis and grandchildren Traci Slack, James Sean Piper and Kristina Lea Piper and great grandson Jared Steuart. Betty is preceded in death by her parents Gladys and Lynn Bledsoe and twin brother Bobby Bledsoe. Her husband James Stanley Piper joined her on August 14, 2013. Betty was born on February 4, 1930 in Dyersburg, TN. After raising her children, Betty pursued her career in civil service as a systems analyst for the U.S. Navy. She retired and moved to Kingman from San Diego, where she built a home and brightened our lives with her kindness and charm. Whether a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt or friend, Betty loved and was loved deeply by all. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, September 14, 2013, in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by The Rev. Dr. David Bailey and The Rev. Judith Bailey with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
