Mrs. Vivalene Sparks Leksche, 83, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, November 28, 2013 at her residence. She was a caregiver for many years and a member of the Church of Christ. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Koonce officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 29, 2013 and Saturday from 1:00 until service time at the funeral home. Survivors include her husband of thirty-eight years Louis Leksche; her daughter Rita Cooper of Dyersburg, TN, three step-daughters: Lou Ann Loiselle of Brighton, MI, Dianne Leksche of Mt. Pleasant, MI, and Susan Leksche of Jackson, MI; one son, Danny Dew, Sr. of Dyersburg, TN; two step-sons: William Leksche and Fred Leksche both of Mt. Pleasant, MI; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and sixteen step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Birdy and Marcus Sparks; one step-son, Louis Leksche, III; one sister, Rachel McConnell; and one brother: Marlus Sparks. Pallbearers will be David Cooper, Jr., Jason Cooper, Danny Dew, Jr., Jerry Burns, Randy Cooper, and Steve Cooper. James Cooper will serve as honorary pallbearer.
