Betty Jo Whittle, 80, of Dyersburg, TN died Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at The Highlands of Dyersburg. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2013, in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Brother Lynn King officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Roy Childress, Scottie Childress, Danny Childress, Gary Whittle, Danny Whittle and Keith Tucker. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Asbille and Sam Embey. The Whittle family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time Thursday, December 5th at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband, Harold Whittle of Dyersburg and a daughter, Julie A. Whittle of Cordova. She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest & Alta Adkins Ferguson; 3 sisters, Lena Mae Sweely, Annie Lee Childress and Louise Ramsey; and 2 brothers, Frank Ferguson and William Ferguson.
