Daisie B. Wood

Daisie B. Wood, 85, of Dyersburg died Friday, April 4, 2014 at Dyersburg Manor. She was a retired telephone operator with South Central Bell. She was a member of First Baptist Church and served many years in the church nursery. She was active with the church Morning Walkers. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday, April 7, 2014 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Hickman officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers will be Rob Hammond, Scott Hammond, J.P. Berkley, Dean Teeter, Steve Stafford and Gage Teeter. The Wood family will receive friends Sunday, April 6th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home. She is survived by her three sons Tommy Wood of Southaven, MS, David A. Wood and wife Sheila and Joe F. Wood and wife Lana, all of Dyersburg, three grandchildren Stacy Sanko, Chris Wood, Ryan Wood and two great-grandchildren Jonah Sanko and Annie Sanko. She was preceded in death by her husband William Thomas Wood (February 9, 1992), her parents Luther and Lagreeta Biggers and one brother Jimmy Biggers.
