Jerry Nichols, 78, of Memphis, formerly of Dyersburg, died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis, TN. He was a self employed barber, a member of First Baptist Church and a Navy Veteran. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 9, 2014 Graveside at Fairview Cemetery with Reverend Mike Hickman officiating. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 9th from 10:00 am until 10:45 am at the funeral home. He is survived by his son J.T. Nichols and wife Terri of Cordova, 1 sister Joyce McKissick of LaQuinta, CA, 2 grandchildren Chase Nichols and Jared Nichols and cousins Mattie Lloyd Chandler and Dot Lloyd Cagle, both of Dyersburg. He was preceded in death by his parents Aubrey Nichols and Annie Brisendine Nichols Kelly. The family requests memorials be directed to the donor's choice.
