James N. Cook, lifelong resident of Dyersburg died peacefully in his sleep at 5:00 AM on Saturday April 12, 2014 at the age of 100 [eleven weeks short of 101] -- He was born on June 30, 1913. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, SYBLE PAYNE COOK, one brother Amory L. Cook of Bremerton, WA, two sons, James L. ( Jimmy) Cook, class of '58, and Jack A. ( Jackie ) Cook, class of '65, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Many will remember James as a sales clerk at the Western Auto Store on West Court St. for over 40 years. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements with visitation Thursday, April 17th from 1:30 PM to 3:45 PM with graveside services at 4:00 PM at Dyer County Memorial Gardens with eulogy given by First Baptist Church Pastor Mike Hickman.
