JoAnne Wheeler Goodman Harris

JoAnne Wheeler Goodman Harris, 66, of Newbern died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at her residence. Born September 3, 1947 to Johnnie and Bethal Moody Wheeler, she was retired from Walmart after 29 years of employment. She retired as the Department Manager of the Garden Section and attended Junction Church of God. Funeral services for Mrs. Harris will be at 11:00 am Friday, May 2, 2014 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Kenny Chessor. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Wheeler, Bubba Wheeler, Homer Reed, Jeff Reed, Tommy Reed and J.W. Warmath. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Moore, Jimmy Watson, Mike Coker and Jeremy Jones. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 1st from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home. She is survived by one daughter Kim Harris White of Newbern, one son Barry "Bubba" Harris of Finley, one sister Linda Wheeler Reed of Dyersburg, one brother J.R. Wheeler and wife Sue of Trenton and three grandchildren Jessica Dozier and husband Jason, Corey White and wife Kelli and Taylor Turnbough and husband Rob. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Don Wheeler, Lewis Wheeler and David Wheeler.
