Mary Bec Boatright Rogers

Mary Bec Boatright Rogers, 97, of Dyersburg died Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Dyersburg Manor. Born August 3, 1916 to C.C. and Ollie Tickle Harness, she was a dietician at Alice Thurmond Elementary School and Parkview Hospital. She was a member of East Dyersburg United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and was an excellent homemaker, cook, seamstress and quilter. She was also a graduate of Dyersburg High School. Memorial services and visitation will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, June 7, 2014 in the Chapel of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her two sons, Tom Boatright and wife Pam of Jefferson City, MO and John Boatright of Dyersburg, a step-daughter, Ronda Rogers McCoy and husband Jerald of Vero Beach, FL, eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Cathey and husband Eddie, Ginger Jaegers and fiancé Jody Emerson, Matt Smith and wife Tiffiney, Jenny Reitz and husband Scott, Ben Boatright and wife Candace, Ellen Dudley and husband Jonathan, Tyler Boatright and wife Samantha, Hannah Boatright and 16 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands Harry Boatright and Autra Rogers, her daughter Nancy Boatright Tidwell and her brother, C.C.
