Katherine Weaver

Katherine Weaver, 92, of Dyersburg died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at The Highlands of Dyersburg. She was a homemaker and a member of Springhill Baptist Church. Born October 13, 1921 to the late Thomas and Julia McDaniel, she enjoyed helping her husband take care of over 1000 hives of bees, raising a large garden, cooking and canning, dancing and her grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Weaver will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, June 8, 2014 Graveside at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg conducted by Reverend Gene Stafford. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Grandsons. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 8th beginning at 1pm until service time at the funeral home. She is survived by 3 daughters Linda Weaver, Venita Humphrey, both of Dyersburg, Mercedes Higgins and husband Johnny of Obion, 1 son John Weaver and wife Paulette of Fulton, KY, 2 step-sons James B. Weaver and wife Peggy of Union Grove, AL, William Weaver and wife Norma of Paris, TN, 6 grandchildren Lisa Smith of Abilene, TX, Robert Myers of Armona, CA, Ernie Reasons, Katherine Curtis, both of Dyersburg, Pamela Weaver of Nashviille, Tony Reasons of Obion, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Rufus Weaver, 3 step-sons Vernon Weaver, Larry Gene Weaver, Huey Lynn Weaver, 2 great-great-grandchildren Noah Kane Reasons, Cricket Victoria Thornton and 10 brothers and sisters.
