Polly Henson Atwell

Polly Henson Atwell, 86, of Dyersburg died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at her residence. She was a member of the Evansville Baptist Church. Funeral services for Mrs. Atwell will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Curry Funeral Home with Brother Danny Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers will be Jacob Swafford, T. J. Daniels, Briar Burkhead, John Manus, Jeremiah Reed and Ernie Atwell. Honorary pallbearers will be brothers, Mike, Tom and Buddy Henson The family will receive friends Friday, July 18, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. She is survived by 4 daughters, Phyllis Griffin (Danny), Vickie Reed (David), Melissa Frizzell (Jim) all of Dyersburg and Julie Branham of Mauldin, MO; 2 sons, Danny Joe Atwell (Pat) and Terry Atwell both of Dyersburg; 3 brothers, Buddy Henson, Tommy Henson and Mike Henson all of Dyersburg; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Atwell; her parents Ernest and Ruby Loines Henson; 2 sisters, Frances Cowan and Bobbie Chambers; 2 brothers, Luther Henson and Jackie Henson.
