Alma Faye Seratt, 92, of Dyersburg, died Monday, July 21, 2014 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. Born April 13, 1922 to Jo Thomas and Hassie Tindall Epperson, she was retired from RoEllen Elementary School as a cafeteria manager for over 20 years. She was a member of Phillips Street Church of Christ. Funeral services for Mrs. Seratt will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Mr. Harry Edmond Seratt officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ed Seratt, Jeff Turner, Mitchell Seratt, Corey Seratt, Dr. Mike Duncan, Henry Lin, Bill Bannister and Charlie Barron. The family will receive friends Friday, July 25, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. She is survived by one daughter, Alice Fay Seratt (James Jones) of Dyersburg; three sons, Harry Edmond Seratt (Nancy) of Memphis, Murray Joseph Seratt (Robin) of Bartlett, Eddie Lane Seratt (Mary) of Brighton, eight grandchildren - Claire Turner, Ed Seratt, Mitchell Seratt, Corey Seratt, Amanda Bannister, India Pajeau, Heather Seratt, and Dr. Jessica Seratt - as well as 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Ora Seratt; her sisters, Dovie Epperson, Evelyn Cupples, Lois Bane, Ruth Pinner, Dean Baker, her brother Tom Epperson, her son, Joseph Edward Seratt and her grandson, Joe Seratt Webb.
