Allen Ray Wells, Sr.

Allen Ray Wells, Sr., 72, of Dyersburg died Monday, September 22, 2014 at his son's residence. He was born January 13, 1942 to Raymond Allen and Edna Ruth Crowder Wells. He was a retired truck driver for Colonial Rubber. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with interment to follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens conducted by Dr. Ralph E. Buckley. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Clark Reagan, Keith Jones, Joe Prichard, Erbie Mitchell, Mike Hicks and Monte Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Evans and Joe Hinson. He is survived by his son Allen "Butch" Wells, Jr. (Edie) of Dyersburg; one sister Mary Ann Valentine of Yorkville; two brothers Kenneth Wells of Hernando, MS, Kurt Wells of Newbern; two grandchildren Holly Wells and Peyton Wells.
