Paul Cross, 67, of Arlington, formerly of Dyersburg, died Monday, September 22, 2014 at Baptist East Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born October 29, 1946 to Rev. E.C. and Maxine Cross (both deceased), he was owner of Paul Cross Sales and a member of Advent Presbyterian Church Cordova. He was also a former funeral director at Curry Funeral Home. Paul was a Make-A- Wish Board member and also an active volunteer for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2014 at Advent Presbyterian Church Cordova conducted by Dr. Tommy Snyder and Dr. Cindy Schwartz. Visitation will follow the service in Lindsay Hall at the church. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation in Dyersburg will be from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2014 at Dyersburg First Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cross Chapel. He is survived by his wife, Susan Snyder Cross of Arlington; three daughters, Holly Cross Hair of Cordova , Kristen Cross Parry (Ryan) of Bartlett, Cathey Tant (David) of Bartlett; one son, Chris Maxey (Sara) of Pacific, MO; one sister, Joyce Partee (Hunter) of Jackson, one brother, Thomas R. Cross (Lillian) of Dyersburg; eleven grandchildren, Grace Tant, Megan Tant, Nick Maxey, Birkley Hair, Andy Maxey, Parker Hair, Jackson Hair, Finley Parry, Ava Maxey, Lila Parry and Mason Parry. The family requests memorials be directed to Dyersburg First Cumberland Presbyterian Church Chapel Fund, 2280 Parr Avenue, Dyersburg, TN 38024.
