Herbert Gail Pride, 82, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Dyersburg Manor Healthcare and Rehab. He was born December 31, 1931 to Owensby C. and Lottie V. Pride. He was retired from Dyersburg Electric and a member of Evansville Baptist Church. He was a Korean War Veteran, was formerly active in Little League baseball and an avid fisherman and hunter. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery conducted by Brother Larry Koonce and Brother Danny Griffin. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, October 17th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be James Stephens, Paul Smith, Bobby Glozier, David Cooper, Steven Cooper and Wayne Vestal. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Virginia Pride; one daughter Kathy Pride Fisher (Eldon) of Dyersburg; one sister Judy Moore of Memphis; five grandchildren Laura Wright (Andrew), Adam Pride, Ginny McGavock (Derin), Ryan Pride, Matthew Fisher; and four great-grandchildren Adam Pride, Jr., Chance Pride, Barret McGavock and Everett Wright. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Mark Pride; one sister Lillian Pylent, his twin brother Harold Dale Pride and four brothers George Roland Pride, ,Wayne Pride, Alvie Pride and Z.E.
