Roy "Buck" Matlock

Roy "Buck" Matlock, 94, of Ridgely died Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Dyersburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation. He was born April 25, 1920 to Virgle and Dixie Henson Matlock. He was retired from the Lake County School System and was a former funeral service associate with Curry Funeral Home in Ridgely. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at New Haven Cemetery conducted by Reverend Danny O'Guin and Reverend Ronnie Turner. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 4th from 11:00 am - 12:45 pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Howard Todd, Ray Moore, Larry White, Gary White, Mack Forrester and Donald Rudolph Moody. Honorary pallbearer will be Wilkes Moore. He is survived by his daughter Lois Johnson of Dyersburg, 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Thelma Matlock; 2 sons Bobby Matlock, Robert Anthony Matlock; 4 brothers James Matlock, Lloyd Matlock, David Matlock, J.V. Matlock; 1 grandson and 1 great-grandson. The family requests memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Lebonheur Children's Hospital.
