Dylan Michael Scott

Dylan Michael Scott, 13, of Ridgely died Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Lebonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis. Dylan was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. He was a student at Lake County Middle School where he was a member of the Football Team, Beta Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Student Council. He was a member of the Tennessee Heat Travel Baseball team and an avid hunter and fisherman. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Lake County Middle School Gymnasium conducted by Brother Aln Jones. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Sunday, November 9th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm and Monday, November 10 from 10:00 am until service time at the Lake County Middle School Gym. Pallbearers will be Donnie Johnson, Bo Lamb, Lil Jim Chamberlain, Andy Lee, J.R. Jones and Jeremiah Palmer. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Lake County Middle School Football Team, Tennessee Heat Travel Team and Darius Johnson. He is survived by his parents Glenn and Lori Scott of Ridgely; his sister Lauren Scott of Ridgely; his grandparents Lavon Gurien Bates of Ridgely, Mike Bates of Jackson, Debbie Scott of Tiptonville; his aunts Debra Scott, Kimberly Scott and his uncle K.J. Scott (Mandy) all of Tiptonville and his uncle Michael Bates (Ashleigh) of Ridgely. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Douglas Scott.
