Albert Williams, 90, of Ridgely died Friday, December 26, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City. He was born June 26, 1924 to the late Harrison Lee and Myrtle Elizabeth Williams. He was a member of Cottonwood Baptist Church and a retired owner of Shell Highway Gas and Grocery in Ridgely. Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be Monday, December 29, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Cottonwood Baptist Church in Ridgely conducted by Reverend Tommy Stutts and Reverend Ronnie Turner. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Buddy Cavness, Ronnie Turner, Michael Parker, Doug Roberson, Mike Chism and Richard Roberson. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Bennett, Harold Reynolds, Johnny Burnett, Macie Roberson, Kyler Hutcheson, Jessie Reynolds, Buddy Tolley and Bubba Goodman. Visitation will be Sunday, December 28th from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the church. He is survived by 3 daughters Dorthy Reynolds (Harold) of Ridgely, Mary Bennett (Larry) of Obion, Martha Burnett (Johnny) of Arlington; 1 son Joe Lee Williams (Gayanne) of Tiptonville; 7 grandchildren Carlton Sullivan, Angela Roberson Parker, Meredith Williams Range , Andrea Bennett Black, Leslie Williams, Megan Burnett, Kimberly Burnett; 3 great-grandchildren Dylan Parker, Bennett Black and Olivia Range. He was preceded in death by his wife Ludie Mae Arrington Williams; his daughter Betty Jane Williams Roberson and his grandson John Erin Williams.
