Launa Faye Hilliard

Launa F. Hilliard, 84, of Dyersburg died Monday, December 29, 2014 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was born June 21, 1930 to the late David Cornelius and Helen Opal Slaughter Luckett. She was retired from Colonial Rubber and a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ. After retirement, she owned and operated Mama's Childcare. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday, January 2, 2015 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Rusty Hilliard, Jr. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be David Hilliard, Larry Christian, Clint Veal, David Luckett, George Hollingsworth and Jeff Jones. Visitation will be Friday, January 2nd beginning at 12 noon until service time at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband of 67 years Williams D. Hilliard; 1 daughter Janie Christian (Larry) of Dyersburg; 1 son Rusty Hilliard, Sr. (Cindy) of Dyersburg; 1 brother David Luckett (Elaine) of Newbern; 3 grandchildren Rusty Hilliard, Jr. (Laney) of Haines City, FL, Renae Graves of Dyersburg, David Hilliard (Abby) of Dyersburg and 3 great-grandchildren Katie Beth Hilliard, Hadley Teresia Hilliard, both of Haines City, FL and William Kurt Hilliard of Dyersburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Odessa King. The family requests memorials directed to the charity of donor's choice.
