Arthur Cole "Coley" Cook, 87, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He was born September 11, 1927 to the late Simon and Johnnie Hurd Cook. He was a retired supervisor of 34 years at Heckethorn Manufacturing, a member of West Dyersburg Church of Christ, a Mason, a farmer, a Korean War Army Veteran, and commercial fisherman. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 7, 2015 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Chris Fry and Jim Chamblin. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Simon Cook, David Paul Cook, William Cook, Jeremiah Reed, Roy Rainey and Justin Pate. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Gregory, Dale Woods, Dwayne Johnston, John Pleasant and Paul Boyd Cook. Visitation will be Friday, February 6th from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Alma Cook; 2 sons, David Cook of Springfield, MO, Louis Cook (Ann) of Dyersburg; 4 grandchildren, Simon Cook (Christy), Paul Cook (Michelle), Willie Cook (Tina), Jessie Pate (Justin); 5 great-grandchildren, Justice Cook, Reed Hulen, Lily Cook, Memphis Cook, Liam Pate and 1 step-great-grandchild Tori Hightower. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Margaret Alexander, Vivian Perry and 4 brothers, Nugan Cook, Boyd Cook, Will Cook and J.W. Cook.
