Mrs. Lois W. Grimes, 85, of Dyersburg, died Friday, March 6, 2015, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was born October 21, 1929, to the late J.E. and Minnie Mae Palmer Williams. She was a member of McCullough's Chapel Baptist Church and a former Nurse Extender at Parkview Methodist Medical Center. She was fond of pets, especially her beloved German Shepherd, Samson, who preceded her in death. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, March 10, 2015, in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Mike Hickman. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Britt Russell, Taylor Russell, Ian Belverstone, Will Harris, Josh Akers and Rodney Minyard. Visitation will be Monday, March 9th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. She is survived by 1 daughter, Debbie Parmenter Harris of Dyersburg; 1 son J.W. Russell, Jr. of Liberty, MS; 4 grandchildren, Shawn Russell New, Britt Russell, Jacob Russell, Will Harris; 11 great-grandchildren, Seth Russell, Ian Belverstone, Heather Herdt, Rachel New, Melodee Russell, Taylor Russell, Katelyn Russell, Chance Russell, Lexie Russell, Dawson Gage Harris, Sophie Kayte Harris; 2 step-daughters, Alice Seaton and Kay Gregson, both of RoEllen; and 1 step-son Buddy Grimes of RoEllen. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, J.W. Russell, Sr., William H. Parmenter, William "Bill" Grimes; her daughter, Sherry Kaye Parmenter; her son, William Lynn Parmenter; her grandson, J. Lynn Russell; 2 sisters, Ruby Nell Triplett, Dorothy Bruce; 2 brothers, Buster Williams and J.M. Williams; her step-daughter, Linda Lemons; and foster son, James "Bunny" Bailey.
