Caroline Stephens Klahn

Caroline Henrietta Stephens Klahn, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, resident of Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, died on Sunday, March 22, 2015. Caroline was born in Newbern, TN on December 28, 1934 to the late Ernest P. Taylor and Catherine Morgan Taylor. Caroline was a homemaker for years and later worked for K-Mart and Wal-Mart as a department manager. She was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church, was active in the Dyer Baptist Associate and she worked for Easter Seals. Her life revolved around her family who she always put first. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Songer and husband, Joe, of Springville, AL, her son, Mark Stephens and wife, Carolyn, of Dyersburg, TN, her son, Bruce Stephens of Ashville, AL, her daughter, Susan Walden and husband, Danny, of Dyersburg, TN; 10 grandchildren, Chad Stephens, Tara Smith, Diana Songer, Jennifer Chavez, Charles Bruce Stephens, Jonathon Stephens, Zach Walden, Evan Walden, Ian Walden, Elliott Walden; 15 great grandchildren, Molly Stephens, Tyler Stephens, Perri Brooke Hughes, Dylan Hughes, Parker Hughes, Landon Griffin, Peyton Griffin, Audrey Smith, Parker Smith, Alex Chavez, Emma Calderon-Chavez, Cooper Stephens, Tripp Stephens, Addy Walden, Payton Hinson and her sister, Dorothy Strunk of Knoxville, TN. Caroline was preceded in death by her son, David Kent Stephens; husbands, Richard Klahn and J.C. Stephens, Jr.; 2 brothers, Morgan Taylor, J.W. Taylor and her brother-in-Law, Winston Strunk. Memorial funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 25, 2015 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Ronnie Turner. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
