Robert J. Wilson, Athens, GA, passed away March 17, 2015. He was born May 21, 1934 in Dyersburg, TN and moved to Chicago, IL. He graduated from DeVry College with a degree in Design Engineering. He would be known also, in Dyersburg, as Bobby Jo Wilson. He was in sales with Kabar Manufacturing located in New York. He served in the Marines for two years. He had a very creative mind and had several patents on his inventions. Some were used by companies he worked for. He loved flying, owned a Comanche and was a member of the Comanche Society. Graveside services for Mr. Wilson will be Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11:00 am at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg conducted by Dr. David Russell. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Beth Wilson; son, Mark Wilson; daughter, Nancy Wilson Holcombe and son-in-law, Terry; sister, Barbara Wilson Marshment; step-sons,Tony and Allen Gamblin and wife, Karen; four grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Wilson, mother, Georgia Wilson, brother Roger Wilson and sister-in-law Faye Wilson.
