William Jerry Borden

Jerry Borden, 77, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He was born January 3, 1938 to the late Uel Dean and Martha Jean Moore Borden. He was a salesman for Reed's Mobile Homes and an Army veteran. Funeral services for Mr. Borden will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015, in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Calvin Smith. Interment will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Mike Ray, Matt Ray, Parker Ray, Roy Smith, Cody Smith and Marty Ray. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until service time, Friday at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Bertha Ray Borden; 1 step-son, Roy Smith of Newbern; 1 sister, Patsy Leishman of Altadena, CA; 3 brothers, Royce Borden of Alexander, VA and Bob and Jimmy Borden of Dyersburg; a nephew, Mike Ray of Portageville, MO and his brother-in-law, Marty Ray.
