Jerry Moody

Jerry Moody, 65, of Big Sandy, formerly of Finley, died Thursday, August 06, 2015 at Henry County Medical Center. He was born June 27, 1950 to the late Billy A. "Midge" and Nell Owsley Moody, Jr. He was a retired carpenter. Funeral services for Mr. Moody will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2015 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Mac Daniels. Interment will be private. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 9th beginning at 12 noon until service time at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Janie Moody; his son, Stacy Moody (Michelle) of Dyersburg; 2 sisters, Marilyn Moody Reed and Beverly Moody Dietrich, both of Dyersburg; 1 brother, Jason Moody of Jackson; 2 step-sons, Tony Hughes (Cindy) of Hornbeak and Richard Hughes (Nikki) of Big Sandy; and 6 grandchildren, Levi Moody, Terrance Lyons, Tedrick Fisher, Kellon Johnson, Riley Hughes and Ellie Hughes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-son, Bratt Hughes. The family requests memorials be directed to the Community Cancer Fund, P. O. Box 1055, Dyersburg, TN 38025-1055.
