Harold H. Whittle

Harold H. Whittle, 87, of Dyersburg, TN died Sunday, August 09, 2015 at The Highlands of Dyersburg. Born October 25, 1927 to Siva and Cole Whittle, he was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Mr. Whittle retired in 2007 as front end alignment specialist at Tucker Tire and Oil Company. He began his employment there in 1957. He was an avid golfer and loved his beloved baseball games. Funeral services for Mr. Whittle will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015, in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Reverend Lynn King officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Tommy Lewis, Danny Joe Whittle, Jason Vaughn, Roy Childress, Gary Whittle, David Whittle. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Kee, Keith Tucker, Ewell Tucker, Jr., Ewell Tucker, Sr. and Larry Voss. The Whittle family will receive friends Tuesday, August 11th beginning at 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home. She is survived by a daughter, Julie A. Whittle of Cordova. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Betty Jo Whittle; 4 sisters, Lois Irvin, Leona Council, Naomi Whittle, Verna Hinson; and 3 brothers, Clyde Whittle, Homer Whittle and Walter Whittle.
