Carolyn Barrett Coder, 68, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at her residence. Born April 12, 1947 to the late Everett and Dorothy Moody Barrett, she was a homemaker and a member of Phillips Street Church of God. Funeral services for Mrs. Coder will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Larry Ricketts and Reverend Jimmy Ricketts. Interment will follow in Meacham Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Jason Hurt, Mark Thomas, Kevin Whitt, Iain Penrose, James Howard, Trevor Howard, Jeremy Lowe, Jamie Lowe and Adam Hall. The family will receive friends Friday, September 18th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband Bill Coder; 2 daughters, Lana Parker of Dyersburg, Jennie Coder of Jackson; 4 sons, James Lemons of Newbern, Stacey Lemons, Tracey Lemons, both of Dyersburg, Bryan Coder of Lexington; 1 brother, Everett Barrett, Jr., of Newbern; 11 grandchildren, Albert Lemons, Kayla Lemons, Skilynn Lemons, Fallen Lemons, Shaina Lemons, Amber Lemons, Jessica Lemons, Ashley Smith, Michelle Penrose, Iain Penrose, Maliyah Parr; and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Wanda Flowers and Frances D. Barrett. The family requests memorials be directed to Phillips Street Church of God.
