Shirley Jordan Stephens, 80, of Martin, formerly of Hornbeak, died Sunday, September 27, 2015 at her home in Martin. Born April 3, 1935 to the late Dolphus and Dona Cook Jordan, she was a member of Hornbeak Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015 in the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Leonard Ballinger with interment to follow in New Haven Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Danny Stephens, Chance Clanton, John Michael Green, Sonny Chumney, Marty Jordan and Ernie Emig. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 29th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. She is survived by her daughter, Gina Epperson (John) of Martin; her son Mark Stephens of Lake Villa, IL; 2 sisters, Georgia Chumney of Jackson, Ethel May Sweat of Oklahoma; 1 brother Dolphus "Bo" Jordan of Bowling Green, KY, 3 granddaughters, Jordan Epperson, Johnna Epperson, both of Martin, Melissa Hassler of Wheeling, IL and 1 grandson, Danny Stephens of Wheeling, IL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years Rayford Thomas Stephens; brothers Tommy Jordan, Buddy Jordan, Jerry Jordan, Bob Jordan and Bill Jordan; sisters Bobby Sykes Colville, Violet Stepp and Opal West.
