Dolphus Reasons, Jr., affectionately known as Da by his grandchildren, Tessa Rosenberg Kotch and Kyle Rosenberg, passed away in Germantown, TN on October 8, 2015. Dolphus, a former resident of Dyersburg, TN, moved to Germantown 8 years ago to live with his daughter, Vicki Reasons Rosenberg and her husband, Louis. Dolphus was married for over 50 year to his loving wife Sarah Reasons, who preceded him in death in 1995. Dolphus served his country while serving as a sergeant (Army) in Europe after the Normandy invasion. He loved farming and everything associated with his work. He mostly loved the many years that he was able to work with his two brothers, James (Lila) and Gerald (Virginia) Reasons, both of Dyersburg. Both brothers predeceased Dolphus. He was a lifelong member of Finley Methodist Church. Graveside services for Mr. Reasons will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Fairview Cemetery. Dolphus leaves Vicki Reasons Rosenberg (Louis), Dale Reasons (Kathy) and two grandchildren, Tessa Kotch (Mike) of Mountain View, CA and Kyle Rosenberg (Caroline) of Nashville, TN. One of his greatest thrills was getting to know and love both Mike and Caroline. Dolphus also leaves Sue Hockle, who became his closest friend and confidant over the last 15 years, never missing a day with a call to see how he was doing. Dolphus lived a complete and fulfilling life for over 9 decades. He now has the perfect seat to watch his beloved St. Louis Cardinals.
